Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

The short version

We sell sunglasses. You buy them, we ship them, and if you don't like them you send them back within a year for a refund. Everything below is the long version of that, plus the things that have to be written down.

1. Who you're dealing with

matrixeyewear.com is operated by Coranova LLC of Troy, Michigan ("we" and "us"). By placing an order or using this site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't order. No hard feelings.

2. Not affiliated with Warner Brothers

Matrix Eyewear and its operator are in no way affiliated with, represented, associated, or sponsored by Warner Brothers. Our sunglasses are inspired by the films, not made for them, and nothing we sell is official merchandise. Names like Neo, Morpheus and Trinity describe the style each pair resembles. The Matrix films and their trademarks belong to their owners, and we claim nothing in them.

3. Orders and prices

Prices are in US dollars. We can change a price at any time, but never on an order you've already placed.

Your order confirmation email is a receipt of what you asked for. We accept the order when we ship it. We can refuse or cancel an order before then, for example when a price was obviously wrong (a $2.99 Morpheus), a payment doesn't go through, or an order looks fraudulent. If we cancel, you get a full refund and an email explaining why.

We may limit quantities per order or per household so that stock goes to fans rather than resellers.

4. Shipping

Shipping terms, times and charges are in the Shipping policy. We're responsible for getting the package to the address you gave us. You're responsible for giving us the right address. Once the carrier marks the package delivered to that address, it's yours.

5. Returns and the 365-day guarantee

Send any pair back within 365 days of delivery for a full refund, for any reason. US return shipping is free with a label we send you; international return shipping is deducted from the refund. Details are in the Return and refund policy. This guarantee is our warranty, and it replaces the implied ones the law would otherwise supply, to the extent the law allows.

6. Descriptions and photos

We photograph and measure every pair ourselves and try hard to describe them accurately. Colors vary with your screen, and frame measurements are given in millimeters on each product page so you can compare them with a pair you already own. If we got something wrong, tell us and we'll fix the listing. If a mistake affected your order, the return policy covers you.

7. Sunglasses are sunglasses

Our lenses block UV as described on each product page. They are not safety glasses, not for welding or looking at the sun, and not a substitute for prescription eyewear. They won't help you dodge anything. Use the common sense you'd use with any pair of sunglasses.

8. Your information

Give us accurate contact details so we can ship your order and reach you if something goes wrong. If you create an account, keep your password to yourself. How we handle your information is in the Privacy policy.

9. Our content

The text, photographs and design of this site belong to Coranova LLC. You're welcome to link to us and to share product photos with friends. You may not copy our photos or text to sell sunglasses of your own.

10. Things you may not do here

Don't scrape the site, probe it for weaknesses, flood it with requests, upload anything malicious, impersonate us or anyone else, or use the site for anything illegal. If you do, we can block you and cancel your orders.

11. Reviews and photos you send us

If you send us a review or a photo of yourself in the sunglasses, you're letting us use it on the site and in our own advertising, credited with your first name and last initial only. Email us at any time and we'll take it down.

12. Other people's sites and services

Links to carriers, payment processors, Shopify and anyone else lead to sites we don't control. Their terms and privacy policies apply there, not ours.

13. Limits on our liability

Our 365-day guarantee is a good one and we stand behind it. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, the site and the products are provided as they are, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any order is capped at what you paid for that order. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

14. If you cause us trouble

If you break these terms and someone brings a claim against us because of it, you cover our costs, including reasonable legal fees.

15. Governing law and disputes

Michigan law governs these terms. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Oakland County, Michigan, and you agree to that venue. Before anyone involves a lawyer, email us. In more than twenty years, nearly every problem has been solved with one email.

16. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top tells you when. The version in force when you placed an order is the one that applies to that order.

17. The usual

If a court throws out one clause, the rest still stand. These terms, the return policy, the shipping policy and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us. Our not enforcing something once doesn't mean we've given it up.
